Evening and weekend appointments now available. Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends. Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm. These appointments are available in Dewsbury Health Centre and can be accessed through your own GP practice, or by calling the free NHS 111 phone line out of normal working hours.

Immunisation:

 
The Practice believes strongly in the benefits of all children being immunised. Childhood immunisation clinics are held by Child Health Services. The GP or practice nurse also carry out all routine and holiday immunisations, for patients registered at Savile Town Medical Centre.
 
Not all immunisations are provided free of charge by the NHS. Please ask the nurse whether a charge will be made before you have your immunisation.
 
Travel Vaccinations:
Patients who require travel vaccinations are advised to make an appointment to see a practice nurse / GP for a vaccination travel consultation, during this appointment patient will be advised of the appropriate vaccination programme and the cost of non NHS vaccines.
 
Please ensure the appointment for vaccination with the nurse or GP is at least 6 weeks before traveling to ensure that there is enough time to have all vaccinations.
 
Influenza Immunisation:
 
Influenza vaccine is available to patients who are:
  • currently pregnant or
  • Over 65 or
  • Over 6 months with the following medical conditions:
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Chronic Kid ney Disease
  • Heart disease
  • Respiratory Disease (On regular medications)
  • patients whose immune system is weakened by treatment or disease
 
 
 
 
 
 
Healthy Start:
With Healthy Start, you get free vouchers every week to spend on milk, plain fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, and infant formula milk. You can also get free vitamins.
Pregnant or have children under the age of four? You could qualify if you're on benefits, or if you're pregnant and under 18.
 
 
Flu Jab is now available please enquire with practice Staff
 
 
 
Free NHS Health check for people aged 40-74 years. Please enquire with practice staff for Eligibility.
 
 
 
Pertussis Vaccines are available for Pregnant women in their 3rd  trimester (between 28 to 38 weeks of pregnancy). please enquire with practice Staff.
 
 
 
Weekend & Weekdays Extended hours are available at Dewsbury Health Centre and can be accessed through GP or by calling NHS 111 out of normal working hours
