If you require urgent medical attention between 6:30pm and 08:00am or at the weekend which cannot wait until the surgery is open

Evening and weekend appointments now available. Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends. Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm. These appointments are available in Dewsbury Health Centre and can be accessed through your own GP practice, or by calling the free NHS 111 phone line out of normal working hours.

An appointment on some selected avaible slots can be booked or cancelled online by clicking here. Cancelling appointment will enable us to offer this slot to someone else
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by fax, in person or on the surgery website through SystemOnline.  They must be ordered at least 48 hours before you require the medication, you must allow 2 full working days before you pick up the prescription.
By Telephone: Call 01924 461124 and tell the receptionist.
By Fax: Fax us on 01924 488373.
In person: Call in to the surgery and tell the receptionist in person.
Repeat Prescriptions may be collected between 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm and between 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Many local chemists collect prescriptions from the surgery.  If you are interested in this service, then you need to submit a consent form, from the pharmacy of your choice, to the practice.
Your medication will be reviewed at regular intervals by the doctor, and from time to time you may be asked to make an appointment for this purpose. 
The practice will not be able to issue a repeat prescription without consulting the doctor, in the following circumstances:
  •  a medication review is due
  •  the drug requested is not on the patients record
  •  a request which the practice staff are concerned or unsure about
  •  If the patient is abroad for more than 3 months

Healthy Start:
With Healthy Start, you get free vouchers every week to spend on milk, plain fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, and infant formula milk. You can also get free vitamins.
Pregnant or have children under the age of four? You could qualify if you're on benefits, or if you're pregnant and under 18.
Flu Jab is now available please enquire with practice Staff
Free NHS Health check for people aged 40-74 years. Please enquire with practice staff for Eligibility.
Pertussis Vaccines are available for Pregnant women in their 3rd  trimester (between 28 to 38 weeks of pregnancy). please enquire with practice Staff.
Weekend & Weekdays Extended hours are available at Dewsbury Health Centre and can be accessed through GP or by calling NHS 111 out of normal working hours

Not convenient seeing the Doctor during the day? 
The Practice offer extended hours session on Monday for evening appointments. Please enquire with Staff.
